A CLEAR LOOK AT THE DETAILS
Privacy notice

Bring Back the Yankees collects only what we need to send the newsletter you request, deliver the free downloads, and receive messages you choose to send us.
What we store
When you sign up for the newsletter, the site stores:
- your email address and, if you provide it, your first name;
- your consent to receive the newsletter, and when you gave it;
- expiring confirmation tokens for unconfirmed signups and persistent unsubscribe tokens, used only to verify your email choice and manage your subscription safely;
- a one-way, scrambled code derived from your internet address, used only to stop automated spam signups. Your actual IP address is not stored.
When you contact us, we store your name, email address, subject, message, and the delivery record so the team can receive and respond to your inquiry. Questions you type into the Ask the Dugout chat are sent to an AI service to produce an answer; they are not added to your newsletter record.
Remembering your newsletter choice
A functional browser cookie remembers whether you dismissed the newsletter popup, requested an email confirmation, or confirmed your subscription. It stores only that preference—not your email address or confirmation token—and is not used for advertising.
Dismissals are remembered for 30 days, pending signups for 7 days, and confirmed subscriptions for 365 days. Clearing your cookies removes this browser preference but does not change your actual subscription. Unsubscribing replaces the confirmed preference with a dismissal so the popup does not immediately ask you again.
How we use and transmit it
- to send the Bring Back the Yankees newsletter you asked for;
- to deliver your free downloads after you confirm your email;
- to receive and reply to a contact inquiry you submit;
- to keep signup and contact forms free of spam and abuse.
Newsletter confirmations, newsletter messages, unsubscribe links, and contact delivery are transmitted through Resend, our email delivery provider. Resend handles those messages according to its own privacy practices.
After you deliberately confirm your email, we send a one-time welcome with the free downloads and a link to the journal. Unconfirmed signups do not receive this welcome, and repeating a confirmation does not send it again.
We never sell or rent your details. Subscriber information is visible only in the site’s password-protected editor and is never shown publicly. Contact inquiries are stored privately for the team to manage and reply to.
Sending a contact inquiry does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Newsletter signups require their own consent and email confirmation.
Unsubscribing and removal
Every newsletter includes a secure unsubscribe link. Opening that link only shows its status; you must choose the unsubscribe button before anything changes. Your email app may also offer a one-click unsubscribe action. You can also ask to be removed or have your details deleted through our contact form or by messaging our Facebook page.
If historical giveaway records exist, they are retained only as needed to administer past commitments. Bring Back the Yankees no longer offers a giveaway.
Independent fan community
Bring Back the Yankees is not affiliated with the New York Yankees or Major League Baseball, and does not share your details with them.
