HOW WE CHOOSE AND SHARE STORIES
Curation Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
Bring Back the Yankees is an independent fan community sharing the people, games, teams, and traditions that make Yankees history meaningful. This policy explains how we choose, research, and present stories.
How we choose stories
We focus on historically meaningful teams, players, games, turning points, and traditions with lasting interest to fans. Our aim is to give those moments context and honor the memories around them, not to elevate rumor or present speculation as fact. Editorial coverage is chosen for its historical and fan interest. If we publish sponsored material, we will identify it.
Sources and accuracy
Our standard is to check material details—such as dates, results, names, and records—against reliable sources, including official records, contemporaneous reporting, archives, and reputable historical works. We include source notes or links when available. When accounts differ or evidence is incomplete, we aim to describe the uncertainty rather than present a disputed detail as settled.
Fan memories and interpretation
Personal memories are part of baseball history. We treat a fan's recollection as a recollection, not independent proof of a detail unless it is corroborated. Commentary and interpretation should be distinguishable from documented facts, and quotations should remain in context.
Images, video, and AI tools
We use historical media and original illustrations to help tell each story. AI tools may assist with drafting or creating artwork, but AI output is not a source of historical fact. Generated or dramatized visuals are illustrative, not archival photographs or footage; we identify them as illustrative when they could otherwise be mistaken for documentary material. We credit or disclose image sources where appropriate.
Affiliate links and independence
Some product links may be affiliate links. When a link may earn a commission, we disclose that relationship near the relevant recommendation. It does not determine which historical stories we cover. Bring Back the Yankees is an independent fan community and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the New York Yankees or Major League Baseball.
Corrections and questions
If you spot a possible factual error, contact us through the contact page. Include the story link, the detail in question, and a reliable source if you have one. We will review substantiated corrections and add a clarification or update when warranted.
